Presented by Prof. Holly Nelson-Becker Selwyn Heights, Hillsborough, Auckland The University of Auckland, The Selwyn Foundation and Mercy Hospice are proud to host academic, author and visiting SeelyeFellow Professor Holly Nelson-Becker in AotearoaNew Zealand. Professor Nelson-Becker is a recognised expert in social gerontology and a Hartford Faculty Scholar in Geriatric Social Work who has investigated the pathways to resilience and wellbeing in older adults. She has explored spirituality, end-of-life, and diverse cultural expressions related to social care. Her research areas focus on virtues, ageing, spiritual and religious coping in older adults, and inter-professional practice in palliative care.
